How Many Tiles Do I Need?

Step 1: Convert garage dimensions to inches
Example:
20 ft × 20 ft → 240 in × 240 in

Step 2: Divide by tile size (15.75 in)

240 ÷ 15.75 = 15.24 → round up to 16
So you need:
16 tiles × 16 tiles = 256 tiles

Step 3: Choose your colors + add edge ramps if needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the tiles easy to clean?
Yes. Cleaning is easier than most people expect. For everyday dust and debris, use a leaf blower, broom, or shop vac. For a deeper clean, you can hose the floor down and let water drain through the vented design.

Are the tiles easy to install?
Yes. The tiles snap together almost like LEGO. No glue, adhesive, or flooring experience is required. Most customers install them themselves using a rubber mallet and basic cutting tools for the edges.

How much weight can the tiles support?
Our garage tiles are rated for approximately 15,400 lbs of static load and up to 22,000 lbs of rolling load, making them suitable for cars, trucks, SUVs, toolboxes, and heavy garage equipment.

Will these tiles work for my garage or business?
Yes. Our tiles are used in both residential and commercial spaces. Customers use them in home garages, detailing shops, tire shops, mechanic shops, dealerships, enclosed trailers, car shows, aircraft hangars, workshops, and even areas with tractors and heavy equipment. Check out our social media to see thousands of real customer installations.

Does my concrete floor have to be perfectly level?
No. Your floor does not need to be perfectly smooth. Minor cracks, stains, and small surface imperfections are generally fine as long as the underlying surface is solid and reasonably flat. Major heaving, large holes, or severe unevenness should be repaired before installation.

Can I install the tiles over old or cracked epoxy?
Yes. As long as the existing coating and concrete underneath are solid, the tiles can usually be installed directly over old epoxy. It is an easy way to cover peeling, stained, or outdated flooring without completely resurfacing the garage.

Do I need to glue the tiles down?
No. The tiles are designed as a free-floating interlocking floor and typically require no glue or permanent adhesive.

Can I park directly on the tiles?
Yes. The tiles are designed specifically for garages and vehicle traffic. Cars, SUVs, trucks, and other common garage vehicles can be parked and driven directly over them.

Can I use floor jacks and jack stands?
Yes, but concentrated point loads should always be handled carefully. We recommend using a protective pad or plate beneath small contact points when using heavy jack stands or similar equipment.

What happens if one tile gets damaged?
You do not need to replace the entire floor. Individual tiles can be removed and replaced if one ever becomes damaged.

Can the tiles be cut around walls, cabinets, or posts?
Yes. The tiles can easily be cut around walls, columns, cabinets, stairs, and other obstacles using a jigsaw, circular saw, or similar cutting tool.

What happens to water underneath the tiles?
The vented design allows water, moisture, and air to move underneath the flooring. This makes the tiles especially useful in garages where vehicles regularly bring in rain, snow, or water.

Are the tiles slippery when wet?
The textured and vented surface is designed to provide grip in garage environments. As with any flooring, caution should still be used around standing water, oil, or other slippery substances.

How long does installation take?
It depends on the size of your garage and the complexity of your design, but many customers complete a standard residential garage in just a few hours or within a single day.

Are garage tiles better than epoxy?
Garage tiles install much faster, require no grinding or curing time, do not peel like coatings can, and individual tiles can be replaced if needed. They also make it easy to create custom colors and patterns.

Do you help with the design and tile quantity?
Yes. Use our free garage layout builder or send us your garage dimensions and our team can help calculate the quantity and plan your design before you order.
